The Calendar puzzle in A Little to the Left might look overwhelming at first, but once you understand the logic, it’s actually one of the most consistent daily puzzles in the game. This guide explains the core rules, step-by-step solving methods, and gives examples of different variations you’ll run into after the June 2025 update.

A Little to the Left Calendar Puzzle Guide (2025 Update)

1. How the Puzzle Works

The Calendar puzzle is a repeating-pattern puzzle. Each sticker set (icons like birds, eggs, tools, etc.) must be placed on the calendar so that all stickers in the same set are evenly spaced apart.

Key principles:

  • There will always be a Starting Double: at least two stickers of the same type already placed on the calendar when you begin.
  • The spacing between those two stickers tells you what the interval (repeat pattern) must be.
  • That same interval works for all other sticker sets on the calendar.
  • You can place multiple stickers on the same day—stack them if needed.
  • Possible repeat intervals are usually between 5 and 15 days.

2. Step-by-Step Method (The “Counting” Method)

  1. Find the Starting Double
Look for two identical stickers already on the calendar. Count the days between them.
  2. Check the Sticker Set Size
Count how many total stickers belong to that set (including those already placed plus those waiting).
  3. Determine the Interval
    • If your Starting Double is, say, 15 days apart, then the possible repeats are either 15 or 5.
    • If it’s 12 days apart, the options are 12 or 6.
    • If it’s 28 days apart, your options are 14 or 7.
(Always think in halves, thirds, or quarters depending on the set size.)
  4. Test Placement
Start placing stickers at that interval. If the set doesn’t fit neatly, try the shorter option.
  5. Apply to All Sets
Once the correct interval is found, use the same spacing for every other sticker set.

3. Examples

Example A – Large Sticker Sets

  • Starting Double: Eggs on 1 and 16 → 15 days apart.
  • Set has 7 stickers total → too many for 15-day repeats, so interval must be 5 days.
  • Solution: Eggs on 1,6,11,16,21,26,31.
  • All other sets (like pears, pans, etc.) also follow 5-day repeats.

Example B – Small Sticker Sets

  • Starting Double: Tomato cans on 16 and 31 → 15 days apart.
  • Set has 3 stickers total → fits perfectly on a 15-day repeat.
  • Solution: Tomato cans on 1,16,31.
  • Other sets (like rocks, birds, etc.) also follow 15-day spacing.

Example C – Multiple Starting Doubles

  • Pasta on 6 & 18 = 12 days apart
  • Plunger on 7 & 31 = 24 days apart
  • Bucket on 17 & 29 = 12 days apart
  • Sticker sets are small (2–3 stickers) → interval must be 12 days.
  • Solution: Pasta on 6,18,30. Plunger on 7,19,31. And so on.

Example D – Conflicting Doubles

  • Metronomes on 2 & 20 = 18 days apart
  • Red U’s on 13 & 19 = 6 days apart
  • Black triangles on 14 & 26 = 12 days apart
  • Only common divisor across all doubles = 6 days.
  • Solution: All sets use 6-day repeats.

4. Alternative Method – Pattern Matching (Shortcut)

Instead of counting intervals, you can also solve by matching relative positions.
For example:

  • “Birds are always 2 days after rocks.”
  • “Books always fall 1 day before a heart.”

This method usually requires one full set to be placed correctly first (using the counting method). But occasionally, the calendar is arranged in such a way that you can solve it purely through pattern matching.

5. Tips & Reminders

  • Always double-check your counting—most mistakes come from miscounts, not logic.
  • Sticker sets are now balanced in size after the June 2025 update (no more big vs. tiny set variations).
  • Don’t be afraid to stack stickers directly on top of each other.
  • Shorter intervals = bigger sets. Longer intervals = smaller sets.
  • Usual solution range: 5–15 days repeat intervals.

At first glance, the Calendar puzzle feels like trial and error, but it’s actually a straightforward math-and-pattern exercise. Once you identify the interval using your Starting Double, the entire puzzle flows into place. And if counting isn’t your style, try the pattern matching method—it can be just as effective.
